Hello Beavercreek Stars Members,

In follow up to our communication from November 2015, we are pleased to announce that we officially closed on our financing arrangement for the McAfee Sports Center, the future home of the Beavercreek Stars, with Wright-Patt Credit Union on December 23, 2015.  Since that time, we have finalized all of our project plans, agreed upon terms with all of our sub-contractors, and began work on the construction in early January 2016, as was originally planned.

We currently have HVAC, electrical, paint prep work, and framing and wall finishing work under way.  And on February 8th, we were very excited to receive three semi-trucks full of plywood and maple hardwood flooring that we anticipate being installed mid-to-late March!! We will soon see new insulation, a fresh coat of paint on the interior of the facility, a new main entrance into the athletic courts, and new bright high bay lighting work beginning.  Following that, once the weather breaks, the exterior of the facility will also receive a much needed facelift.  We are still on track for this project to be completed by June 30, 2016.  We appreciate your continued support and hope you all share our enthusiasm to see the "Kids on the Courts" for the 2016 season!!!

We continue to pursue additional sponsors at various levels, including court sponsors, scoreboard sponsors, score table sponsors, and other sponsorship packages.  If you are interested in helping with a personal sponsorship or donation, please contact me directly at the email address listed below.  In the near future, you will see additional communications regarding our internal fundraising program as additional details are available.  We also continue to pursue additional tenants for the "business segment" of this facility.  If you are aware of any potential sponsors or tenants, we welcome your assistance in making contacts in order to make this venture as financially successful as possible. Let us all remember, the more successful this facility is, the lower the cost will be to current and future Stars players.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at tommaloney@prodigy.net.
