Ohio South Youth Sport Space

Beavercreek Stars & Ohio South Youth Sports Space, Inc

In February 2012, the Beavercreek Stars acquired a 65,000 square foot building located at 1321 Research Park Drive in Beavercreek.  The primary intention of purchasing this facility was to utilize approximately 25,000 square feet in the building to construct four high school size basketball courts to aid in the further development of youth basketball in Beavercreek.  The Stars provided $50,000 toward the purchase of the building, with the remainder of the $300,000 purchase price being financed through a land contract with the former owners of the building.  Subsequently, after creating a new legal entity titled Ohio South Youth Sports Space, Inc. (OSYSS), the Stars entered into a leasing arrangement by which OSYSS will lease this facility from the Stars and OSYSS will manage the day to day operations of the new facility.  OSYSS has agreed to repay the $50,000 paid by the Stars over the course of this lease, and at the end of the lease title will transfer to OSYSS. The legal arrangements between these entities guarantee that the Beavercreek Stars will have first rights to gym time to support their basketball operations needs far into the future.
